　少女まんが家・米沢りかが「自宅を出て仕事場代を捻出するために」はじめたエッセイまんが。（本文参照）結果的には３巻まで発行された人気シリーズに発展し、後半は歌舞伎町や美容などルポ的性質が強くなっていく。
エッセイ・ルポのはしりだったこの作品をよりぬいて収録。再度取材・描き下ろしを加え、現在も行ける店の情報も載っています。

　この本は『少女漫画家』米沢りかが
己の好奇心探究心の赴くままに取材を敢行した
体験取材集である。

　とはいえ作者の好奇心は恐らく
全ての女性が持っているものと何ら変わらない。
「ここにはどんな物があるの？」
「ここはどんな場所なの？」
「これってどうやるの？」
「どんな気持ちなの？」
ただ多くの女性はそれに足を運ぶ勇気がないのだ。

　作者はそんな場所へ果敢に足を運んで取材している。

　私もこの本を読んで初めて知った事がたくさんあった。
特に
「医学脱毛」
の話は悩んでいる友人知人に教えまくったくらいだ。

　他にも巻爪、Ｏ脚、しわ取りの治療から
アダルトグッズショップ、はては風俗嬢インタビューまで
色々あります。
好奇心のある皆様にお勧めの一品です。
ただ、
「新装版＝取材時が今から10年ほど前」
なので星４つ。
また連載してくれないかなぁ。
