　事務所代表の妻木は、シャーロック・ホームズに憧れるあまり、スキあらば客の些細な特徴から勝手な推理を巡らすが、当たったためしのない男。いつも金欠の上、おかしなテンションを持つ変人。
　パートタイムの助手には、ボランティアのＯＬ井上涼子。
　それでも（たまの）事件をちゃんと解決しているところを見ると、妻木は一応、無能ではないみたい？

　助手の涼子は妻木に好意を抱いているようですが、当の妻木がそれに気付く気配はなし。

　今後の展開が楽しみな、お薦めの一冊です。

題名のとおり探偵ものなのだが、トリックがあるわけでもなく事件はあっさり解決しちゃうので、気軽に読めるギャグテイストの探偵物語といったところ。一つ一つの事件は短く大体一、二話で終わっちゃいます。この辺物足りない感じもあります。

探偵ものにしてはめずらしく扱う事件は現実的です。人探しやペット探し、ストーカーものでそれが別の事件につなっがていくみたいな展開はない。
けれど、探偵妻木の変人っぷりと事件に関わる人がたいてい面白いキャラをしてるのでぜんぜん飽きません。題名がそのまま事務所の名前で理由がタウンページで一番最初にくるからというものや爪の短い女性をみてピアノをやっているでしょう、と推理するも全然見当違いとかから、大体どの程度変人かわかってもらえるかも。
それに、時々みせる妻木の正義感が物語に一本芯を通していて、いい感じです。

ミステリっぽさを期待すると当てが外れますのでご注意を。

おかしいです（笑）すっとぼけているのに実はすごいヤツ。心に正義感を秘め燃えて突っ走り、たまに突っ走りすぎてひんしゅくを買ったり（笑）でもなんだか愛されキャラ？な妻木はいい男です♪作者の人柄が窺える作品だと思います。

知ってる人は知っている。探偵なのに探偵っぽくない。でも探偵な作品です。ドラマにもなったし面白いですね。
