　父親が見合いの段取りをつけてしまって、子供の時から一途に想ってきた許婚の相手である薫と別れなければならない・・・。
　そんな辛い試練が葵に訪れる、「藍より青し」第６巻。

　葵がとてもいいです。

　お話の最初の内（１~３巻）は、そのしとやかで控えめな性格ゆえに、ティナや妙子ちゃんといった個性的なキャラクターが振りまく、楽しい賑やかさに少し押されがちで、恋愛ストーリーのヒロインとしては少し弱いかな、という印象だったのだけれども、話が進むにつれて俄然、情が深く一途なこの娘本来の魅力が輝き現れてきます。

　特に、この「６巻」。薫と一緒に温泉に入って、「将来の夢」を聞かれるシーンの葵。「センチメンタル過ぎるよ」、という人がいるかもしれないけど、私はその秘!めた情念と想いに素直に感じ入って、「ああ、葵っていいな」とグッと思わされました。

　目に付くありがちな話のネタ。ほったらかしの男サブ・キャラ。大財産家を親に持つ主人公たちの、非現実的な境涯（大デパートの御曹司！）。

　私的には、ちょっと欠点かな、と思える要素がかなり目に付く「藍より青し」なのですが、それにも関わらずこの作品はやはり、単なる男性読者喜ばせ漫画だけでは終わらない、人に訴えかける「何か」を持っていると思います。
　

　気の置けない仲間とのふれあい。互いに励まし合う友情。そして、一途でひたむきな愛。そんな青春の機微を描いた何か、を読んでみたい、と思う人に初巻から通して読んでみることをお勧めします。読後、きっと、胸に残る何かがあるだろうと思いま??。

　徐々にではあるが、確実に絆を強めてきた薫と葵。しかしそんな二人に最大の試練が訪れる。実家に戻ったまま帰ってこない葵を薫は心配し彼女に会いに行こうとする。ちょうどその時葵が帰ってきたのだが、葵にはある重大な選択を迫られていた。果たして二人は元のように一緒に暮らせることが出来るのであろうか？

　この第６巻では相手を一途に思うことの素晴らしさが描かれている。恋愛に疲れた人、これからの恋愛に期待する人など幅広いジャンルの人に読んでもらいたいと思う。きっと誰もが知っていて、そして忘れかけている思いの大切さを再確認できるだろう。
