レイ・メイキングに関する本、待ち望んでいました！

この本ではいろんなタイプのレイの作り方について解説されています。
特徴的なのはその花材。レイというと南国の花をイメージするのですが、ツバキやツツジなど身近にある花を使ったレイも紹介されています。自分の周りで花を摘んで、早速作ってみたくなりました。
本の後半にはUMAHANAさんのレイに関するエピソードなんかも書かれていますが、これもまた素敵な話が一杯です。掲載されいてる花の写真はどれもキレイで、また写っている人の笑顔みんな輝いてます。
見ているだけで幸せな気持ちになれる本です。

作る意欲湧きまくりました。
レイに使う花も和花もあり、洋花もありで、
幅広いイメージで、制作の手法もわかりやすく、
ありがたい1冊です。

本のタイトル通りレイの本で、作者のUMAHANA先生の「日本の花でレイを作る」が実践されています。
誰でもどこでも入手できそうな花材で作られています。（一部シダ等は注文しないとだめかも）
写真ではいつもの花が普段と違う顔で登場してきます。
よく１００円ショップなどの造花のレイをイメージしていた場合いい意味で衝撃を受ける本かもしれません。
内容は写真だけではなく、作者がレイを作るきっかけとなったエピソードやハワイの先生から学んだレイを
作る時の心構えなどがまとめられています。

ハワイから伝わってきたレイが日本の文化となるきっかけの本かもしれません。
