貸本マンガというものがあったということは知っていました。そこから劇画と呼ばれるものが誕生したという話も聞いたことがありました。しかし、貸本マンガがこんなにも様々な作家により、さまざまな表現をされたものだということは知りませんでした。
マンガというと手塚治虫を中心にして語られることが多いのですが、決してそれだけではないということを改めて教えてくれる本でした。もっとマンガは豊かなものであり、だからこそ世界に出て行くことも出来たのでしょうね。
