以前の作品を全く読んだことがない人には、ちょっとお薦めできない。
逆に、あなたがズッコケ三人組シリーズの愛読者であったならば、星5つでもいい。
そういう意味での星4つ。

誰もが気になるのは、三人組の歳の取りかたについてだろう。
それは冒頭の数ページを読めば分かるのだが、彼らも時代の影響をもろに受けている。その姿にちょっと切なくもなる。
三人組がそれぞれに「大人の悩み」に苦しめられる姿は、共感を覚える人も多いんじゃないだろうか（特に社会人ならなおさら）。

ストーリー自体はシリーズ全体のパターンを"あえて"踏襲し、三人組がある事件に巻き込まれ、それに対して協力して立ち向かうというもの。
シリーズの愛読者なら、その内容に対して、まさか荒唐無稽とは言いますまい。
それから、時代設定はもちろん現代なのだが、「2006年の夏」と微妙にずらしているのが心憎い。

あのズッコケ三人組もとうとう40歳に。

ズッコケ三人組シリーズを全巻読破していなくても
勿論楽しめますが、とりあえず“怪盗Ｘシリーズ”と
「うわさのズッコケ株式会社」を未読の人は、
それらを先に読んでからの方が、楽しめることでしょう。

カバー裏には過去の作品の表紙があり、楽しませてくれます。
表紙の雲のイラストも意味深ですね。

また、内表紙に描かれたおなじみの地図や教室の風景。
こういった絵を見るだけで、懐かしさに胸が躍ります。
昔、ズッコケ三人組シリーズをよく読んでいた人たちに、
是非読んでいただきたい一冊です。
若かりし頃の思い出がよみがえりますよ。

懐かしさのあまり手にとりました。そうか〜、みんなおじさんになっちゃったけど･･･やっていること（人生３人で戦っていくのだ！）は小さい頃と変わってないね〜って思っちゃいました。
やっぱりハカセは「先生タイプ」って思ったけれど、そうですか、やっぱり今の子供相手は難しいですか。ハチベエはかなり意外でした。こらー野山で獲物を追いかける（無人島ではまさに野生児でしたね！）あなたが何故今度は○○のおしりを追いかけているんだー！
それにしても、世相を自然に作品に反映していく那須さん、本当に頭が下がります！
