私が子供の頃読んで今でも心に残っていたので､今は子供に読んであげています。
いつもマイペースなウｰフは読んでいても心が癒されます。草原をそよぐ風や､ウーフのもしゃもしゃの毛。お話の中に出てくる言葉がやさしくて心地いいです。
ちょっと意地悪なキツネのツネタはお友達ができたら絶対にいそうなタイプ。短いお話なので､絵は少ないけど3歳くらいの子なら大丈夫だと思います。家の子はウーフと一緒に、「何でかなぁ~。」なんて言って読んでますよ。

ウーフのどうして？を集めた、童話集第１集。

どうして？を考えていくうちに、ウーフはなんだか怖くなったり
不安でいっぱいになっていきます。

でもそんなウーフを、最後にお母さんが優しく抱きしめてくれるのが
何とも言えず暖かいのです。

ふと本棚からこの本を取ってみると、挿絵は井上洋介さんではありませんか！
月刊誌’こどものとも’では’イノウエ（ヰノウヱ）・ヨースケ’表記でおなじみの、
わりとシュールな世界が得意な方です。
しかし他の絵が浮かばないほど’ウーフ’の世界に溶け込んでいますね。
年長さんぐらいから楽しめる、9つのお話です。題名見ただけで内容が気になるでしょ？

さかなには　なぜ　したがない/ウーフは　おしっこでできているか？？/
いざというときって　どんなとき？/きつつきのみつけた　たから/
ちょうちょだけに　なぜなくの？/たからが　ふえると　いそがしい/
おっことさないもの　なんだ？/？　？　？/くま１ぴきぶんは　ねずみ百ぴきぶんか
