大好きなビートルズで英語を勉強できるなんて、すごいイイ話ですが、
ちょっと、難しすぎるような気がしました。
初心者の方はやめておいた方がいいです。
そこそこ英語ができる人しドゾ〜

英語の教材としてビートルズを取り上げるのは，
ある意味常套手段ではあるのですが，英語の教材としては
結局慣用句の解説に終始していて，歌詞の中で使われる生きた英語，
ブロークンな表現の持つ微妙な言い回しへの言及は少し物足りない
ような気がします。

一方，ビートルズの歌詞を英語表現の視点から解釈していく本としても，

分かりやすく汎用的であろうとするために突っ込みが浅く，これまた
物足りない。

この本を読んで，直接ビートルズの歌詞に当って英語の勉強に繋げようとする
きっかけになるにはなるでしょうが，それ以上でも以下でもないという感じが
します。

　この種の試みは、私の人生の中で、何回か、経験しております。今、正確に思い出せないけれども、ビートルズを題材にして英語を覚えるとか、英会話ができると言う本は何年に一回か出てくるようです。
　しかし、題材をビートルズに求めるにしても、主眼を「英会話」なり「英語」の習得に置くのか、それとも、ビートルズの「詩」の解説におくのか、いずれも、中途半端に終わっています。
　この本も、最初期の簡単な歌詞から始まって、後期の難解な歌詞へと移っていくのだが、そこで使われている表現を英会話に置き換えようとしていますが、どっちつかずの感は否めません。
　やはり、正直に言うと、「ビートルズ」を利用した、だけだと言わざるを得ません。
