この本で市川さんという人を初めて知りました。
書店で手に取った時は、白いロココ調インテリアのいかにもなマダムな暮らしっぷりに苦手意識を感じたのですが、ところどころにある写真など内容に実用性を感じたので購入しました。

最後の自伝の部分から読んだのですが、素直に綴られた等身大の文章にとても好感が持てました。今ここにある生活を自分なりに前向きに楽しんでいこう、とする姿勢が前面にでていて、先生というより“友達”の本を読んだ感覚です。

お茶会を兼ねて不要品を持ち合う「いる・いらん会」などオリジナルアイディアが面白く、これまでドイツやイギリス流のわりとストイックな生活本を読んできた私には新鮮で、アメリカ仕込みのバイタリティーを感じます。
特に買ってきたものに一工夫加えるだけのもてなし料理はアバウトさが大好き。

ただ、エッセイ調の内容が読んでいて面白いのですが反面あとで読み返す時には不要な部分が目立ち、読みにくくなります。
感心した工夫もどこに書いてあったのか探すのに骨が折れ次第に忘却の彼方へ･･。

題名どおり、著者のエレガントな暮らしぶりと本人なりの工夫を眺め、ただ感心するだけの「書籍上・お宅拝見」に終始しそう?!

文庫になるとbetterです。エッセイとしてどうぞ。

カリスマ　マダムの暮らしぶりがとても参考になり、私達に
とって実践的な本です！。
この手のエレガントな暮らしに関するエッセイはいろんな著者のものを
読んだことがありますが、書いてあることは立派なのだけれど、非現実的というか、顔が見えないだけに”そんなこといってあなたは本当に

素敵な女性なの？”と思うことがありました。（例えばミラノ、フランス在住経験ありとかいって本人の顔写真がない某ファッションジャーナリストとか）
この本はマダムのお姿、ご自宅インテリアが写真で紹介されていて
とても親近感がわきます。　家庭画報の読者大賞をとられたカリスマ
読者モデルなんですよ。

マダムの工夫は私達の生活に生かせそう、ちょっとやってみようかなーって思えるのです。
お教室にも行ってみたいなーと思いました。

自分の片付け下手がどうにかならんかのうと思い購入した本。著者のマダムな暮らしっぷり　プラス　誰にでも日常的に簡単にできる暮らしの工夫を披露。なかなか読み応えがある本です。詳しく書くとネタばれになるので書けませんが、参考になる内容は多かったです。

この本を読むと私も本当にマダムになれそう！　

今ひとつ家事に気が乗らない方は読んでみてください。たぶん刺激を受けますよ。
