東国原 英夫
1957年9月16日宮崎県都城市生まれ。県立都城泉ヶ丘高校から専修大学経済学部卒業後、『笑ってる場合ですよ』(フジテレビ)の「お笑い君こそスターだ!」というコーナーでチャンピオンになったことがきっかけで、1982年、ビートたけしの一番弟子になる。90年には女優のかとうかずこと結婚、一男一女に恵まれる。2000年、早稲田大学第二文学部に入学。04年、卒業と同時に政治経済学部にAO入試で入学。06年離婚後、大学中退。07年、宮崎県知事選に立候補し約27万票を獲得し当選!第52代県知事として活躍中(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

普段、本なんか読みませんが、話題の人なので買ってみました。
生い立ちから現在まで、東国原知事の七転び八起きの人生は面白い！
それで、それで、それからど〜した？　とすらすら読めてしまった。
本好きじゃない人には特にお勧め！

この本では、東国原知事の生い立ち・芸能界入り・挫折・大学入学・政界進出などについて知事自身のことばで語られており、とても興味深かったです。
芸人時代は軽い人というイメージで見ていましたが、本当はまじめで頭が良くて熱い人だということがわかりました。これからも、どんどん宮崎を盛り上げていただきたいと思います。

　本書は東国原知事の自伝的な側面を持つ。以前どこかの出版社から出た、氏のブログのまとめよりは読みやすく、面白い。
　著者くらいの力量があれば、もっと膨らませて書いても良かったと思うのだが、現在は公務中の身であるから、これが限界なのであろう。その辺りはこちら側が譲歩しないといけない。
　それにしても面白い一冊であった。
