全体的に訳者の文学的センスを疑いたくなるような訳が多いです。かなり直訳に近い、または意訳しているつもりがうまくはまっていないなどなど、正直言って、この訳を読んでこれがブレイクだと思ってほしくありません。ブレイクを感じたい方は是非、原文を読まれることをお勧めします。

　この解説には「ブレイクについては個性豊かな翻訳が、現在に至るまですでに数多く刊行されている。このたび、その中でも名訳の誉れ高い土居光訳を通して、、、」とあります。

　翻訳については、解説から想像できるように、実際読んでも方法がやや古い感じを受けました。「原文は時代が流れても輝き続けるのに、翻訳が如何に古くなっていくのか」については、村上春樹の「キャッチャー」以降のエクスキューズに一理あると思うというのが私の考えで、もちろん原文を読むのが一番です。
　ブレイクに関しては原文をネットですぐ得ることが可能なので、気に入った詩はぜひ原文で読むのがお勧めです。
　残念ながら私には17-18世紀の英語の本を一冊読み上げるのは無理なので、ネットで十分です。それよりも、もっと絵を眺めていたいので、値段は高くても絵付きが初心者としては良いです。

　参考に私の好きな（有名な）「虎」の原文の結びは
Tyger Tyger burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

虎よ、虎、輝き燃える、
夜の森のなかで。
どんな神の手、あるいは眼が、
汝の恐ろしい均整をつくることを敢えてしたのか。

　わざと直訳っぽく原文を想起させ、原文を読んだときにもわかりやすい
という意味では私にとってはいい翻訳ですが、日本語と独立しては不満も
残る　というところでしょうか

　解説もけっこう吉村正和の解説もまとまっています。

ブレイクは特殊な詩人であるが、魂との対話を通じて秘教伝統の知恵を獲得し、それを最小限の文字によって表すという行為こそ詩人のあるべき姿なのだと思う。詩は言霊であり、お告げである。そしてブレイクは高次の真理を伝達するメッセンジャー、シャーマンだと思う。
ちなみに、私が一番好きなブレイクの詩集は『経験の歌』の「天使」です。
