著者略歴 (「BOOK著者紹介情報」より)

大森 〓@41F0@佑子
4月30日生れ、熊本県出身。雑誌『オリーブ』でスタイリストとして活躍。その後、様々なアーティストのスタイリングやCMを手がけるほか、『装苑』で連載ページを持つ。ほかに、和装セレクトショップ「装プラス」でミナペルホネンの着物などのプロデュースや『KIMONO姫』(祥伝社)などで、着物のスタイリングとディレクションなども手がけている。また、アーティストのYUKIとアートディレクターの平野文子の3人で「夢想集団」“Sleep”を結成。個展、本の出版といったビジュアル表現やファッションブランドなどの活動も行なっている。2003年、中目黒のウフギャラリーとロンドンのギャラリーECLECTICにて初の個展「家紋展」を開催。2004年、アートディレクターの菊地敦己との共著『家紋帳』(ピエブックス)を出版。京都の恵文社ギャラリーアンフェールにて「家紋展」を開催(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

~女の子でよかった~

大森さんが好きな人
『Olive』が好きな人
『装苑』が好きな人
オシャレが好きな人
写真が好きな人
色彩そのものが好きな人

もっともっとそれらが好きになる愛すべきプチ写真集といった感じです。
白く縁取られた真っ赤な表紙がとても印象的で見終わったあとはインテリアとして飾りたくなる装丁。

『Olive』のスタイリストとして活躍されていた大森さん。
当時大好きで彼女が選び合わせたスタイリングの数々を見ているとなんだか心がドキドキワクワクしたものです。
そんな著者が雑誌『装苑』で掲載されている連載や写真をチョイスして再編集したものがこちら。

｢女の子でよかった！｣とあたしはこの本を見て最初にそう思いました。
だってこんなに素敵で可愛い本に巡り会うことができるんですから。

色とりどりの写真
すっきりとまとまった美しいレイアウトに瑞々しい著者のセンス
なんだか少女に戻れそうなふんわりとした雰囲気に包まれたとってもキュートで且つとってもビビットな1冊です。

大森さんのスタイリングは、ひとめ見ただけで、あ、大森さんと分かるからすごい。ファッションというよりは、ファッションというフィルターを通して、何か哲学的なものを表現しているように感じられる。この流動的な時代において、こんなに自分の世界観を曲げずに、魅せられるスタイリストは他にいないんじゃないだろうか。
そこには、クリエイターとしての頑ななまでの強い意志と美意識に裏打ちされた、圧倒的な存在感がある。
ご本人自身は、小さくて、草食動物のような、少女のような方とお見受けするのだけれど。現在に辿り着くまでには、大変なご苦労があったのだということを、本書で初めて知った。でも、そんなこともあったわねぇと、飄々と新たなチャレンジを続ける大森さんが目に浮かぶ。なんてかっちょいいんだろう。そんな女性に自分もなりたい。ほんものの女の子はすごく強いのだ。

　『装苑』連載時から大好きでした。連載時そのままの完全版の出版を熱望します。可愛いものが詰まった本ですが、ストレートに着こなしの参考になるというよりは、込められたエッセンスや記号などから、何かを読み取ることを要求している本のように思えます。私が好きだった『Olive』魂の一部は『装苑』が継承してくれているようです。
