まず、写真が素敵です。
まるで、写真集を見るように楽しめます。
アンティーク好きはもちろん、
そうでないかたもテーブルセッティングにうっとりできます。

ただ、かなり著者の好みに片寄っているので、
広い幅でアンティークをお探しの方には、
入門書として御覧になると、楽しいと思います。

実際、英国で手軽なお値段で買えるものも、
たくさん載っています。

アンティークとの暮らし方の、ひとつの良い参考になりました。

アンティークディーラーですが、業者の目から見てもとても参考になる本です。
テーブルウェアはどれをどう合わせたらいいのか解らないと言われる方が多いですが、セオリーというのはあっても温故知新、決め事というのは有りません。　行儀作法を除いては、テーブルの上にも個々の個性があって良いわけですから、好きな組み合わせで自身の気に入ったコーディネートを探す方がより楽しいですよね。。。

テーブルを彩る英国アンティークの器が，用途別にわかりやすく説明されています。また写真がとても美しく，特にヴィクトリアンの様々なティーカップは素晴らしい。の一言につきます。普段馴染みのないエッグスタンドやトーストラックなどもとても可愛いです。

本の最後に書いてあるアンティークショップガイドも詳しいインフォメーションと地図付きで載っているため，初心者でも気負いしないで買いに行けそうです。
