九州生れの東京育ち。文化出版局「装苑」編集部を経てフリーランスのスタイリストとなる。1992年よりソーイングブックを発表。シンプルでさり気なく、それでいてどこか甘さを秘めた茅木真知子スタイルがソーイングファンを魅了する。’95年には布地の店「pindot ピンドット」を東京・西荻窪にオープン(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

いろんなソーイングの本を持っていますが、この本は、絶対買い！！です。パターンのサイズのちょっとした直し方が載っていた本って、案外なかったじゃないですか。この本には載っています。おまけに、ソーイングの基本的なことを作品に添った形で載せています。いま流行のリネンを使った作品やキュートなブラウス、中でも私のお勧めは、パフスリーブ袖のワンピースがめちゃくちゃかわいい！！この夏是非、作ってみたい一品です。大人でもかわいい服が着たい！作りたい！と思っているあなたにお薦めの本です。

「ソーイングトーク」を購入し、著者に惹かれた私。
これは、その第2弾で購入。
しかし、ソーイングトークに掲載されている作品と
同じような作品が多く、がっかりしました（ＴへＴ）

キャミソールとワンピ。違いはこのくらいでしょうか？
「ソーイングトーク」をお持ちの方は不要かもしれません。

ちょっとだけノスタルジックな服が得意な茅木さん。
彼女の本の中で　一番おすすめです。
きれいに簡単に作るコツが書いてあるのも良いですね。
ただ　本当に初めて服を縫うかたには、ちょっと難しいでしょう。
ソーイングの入門本を片手に、
まずはこの本のキャミソ−ルやスカートを作って、
それからブラウス、ワンピを縫うとよいと思います。
