「手編みを始めたい」と思ったら、手元に置きたい一冊です。実は他の基礎本を購入したのですが今ひとつわかり難く「独学はムリ？」と思っていた時にこの本に出会いました。
おかげで、手編みを始めて二ヶ月で既にセーターと小物類を完成させることが出来ました。周りに編み物をする人がいないので、全くの独学です。それくらい頼りになります。

昨シーズンに棒針編みデビューしたばかりの私にとって、この本こそ最高のバイブル！　今も増し目・減らし目に出くわすたびに開いて参考にしています。
イラストが大きくて分かりやすく、基礎の基礎のみだけでなく、セーター作りに至るまでに必要なテクニックやコツが丁寧に説明されています。
「ゆるみがちなのできつめに」とか「こうすればもっと手早くできる」といったことも書かれていて、ちょっとしたことでつまずきがちな初心者の私はお世話になりっぱなしです。
薄っぺらい入門書よりも、あとあとまで役に立ちますよ~。

タイトル通り、棒編みの基礎技法とちょっとしたコツが網羅されています。このちょっとしたコツというのが、初心者にはありがたいものです。個人的に編み間違いの修正方法はとても役に立ちました。
はじめて編み物をする人だけでなく、ちょっと慣れてきたかなという程度の人にも充分参考になる内容です。

目の作り方減らし方は絵つきとてもわかりやすい。はぎかたはちょっとわかりにくかった。でも、総合的に編み物を始めるにはよい本だと思います。
