飛行機に詳しくない方でも楽しく読みやすい内容の本です。専門用語も著者が分かり易く解説しながらの内容で、ほとんど抵抗なく読み続けられます。
項目の中には一般的に知られてない内容が書かれていたり、同じ機種でも国によって異なる部分が述べてあったり、ととても面白く読み上げました。
特に私が面白かった項目は；
○ジャンボ機の主翼は８ｍもしなる？　○旅客機にエアコンがないってホント？　○ジャンボ機は同じ大きさの紙飛行機より軽い？　○ドアのしくみはどうなっている？　○どの旅客機も左から搭乗するのは、なぜ？　○座席の空間は欧米の航空会社のほうが狭い？　等

　昔から飛行機には色々な疑問を抱いていましたが、この本を読むと、とても判りやすく、また理工学的なお堅い無いようではなかったので空港内で飛行機に乗る前に読みきりました。
　飛行機が飛ぶ仕組みや、なぜ飛行機の座席が狭いのか、飛行機のメンテナンス、飛行の安全システムや飛行機の意外なトリビア的な内容など盛りだくさんで抵抗が無い本です。この本で飛行機が苦手な方も少しは考え方が変わるかもしれません。
　私が個人的に面白いと思ったところは、飛行機が空港に近づく速度、着陸する時の速度がちゃんと決まっているという点・飛行機の離着時の携帯電話の利用の障害についての記述の点でした。
　よく飛行機をご利用される方に、興味がある方にお勧めします。

もしもエンジンが全て止まってしまったらどうなるかという誰しも心配になる事柄から，実は旅客機にはエアコンが付いていないという「えっ，そうなの！？」というような話まで，いろいろな話題について整備士という専門家の立場からいろいろと教えてくれるとても楽しい本です．

訳本で訳者もタイ人の方なのですが，不思議なくらいにこなれた日本語で読みづらい点は全くありません．整備士の方のご苦労もよく分かり，今度飛行機に乗るときにはもっとよく観察してみたいと思います．
