本書「大衆食堂の人々」は呉智英の著作の中で最もユーモア度が高いというか難しいこととか関係なく単純に笑える楽しいエッセイです。呉智英思想の基本書は「封建主義者かく語りき」だと思いますが、呉智英は思想家という顔の他にも面白エッセイの名手という一面も持っていて、そっち方面では本書がその代表格ではないかと思います。単純に面白いエッセイを読みたいという人、エッセイの名手「呉智英」入門本として是非読んでみてください。

この本の収められたエピソードはどれもこれも爆笑モノです。一方、「大衆」とは何かをあらためて考えさせてくれます。ぜひ御一読を！

　「サルの正義」等の辛口、かつ、やや暴走気味の評論がこの作者の本質と思っていた。
　最初、この本を見たときに、「大衆食堂の人々」のどこを『評論』するのか分からず、手を出しそびれていた。
　イヤア、面白かった。
　こういう洒脱なエッセイ集を書ける人って、結構、辛口評論家でもあるんだよね。
　ＧＷに笑わせてもらいました。
　今後こちらの方面の活躍も期待します。
