4.0 out of 5 stars 金融会社を軸に大金をめぐる頭脳合戦, 2009/7/4
　闇の世界に生きる会社員。ホステスとして生きるには年齢もぎりぎりで、さらに肝臓を壊し、自分の客を取られそうになりながら不安に生きる女。そしてやくざ。この三人がある金融会社の男を手玉に取り、大金をめぐって奔走する物語。金融を題材にしているけれども、金融の専門的知識がなくてもすらすら読め、どのような展開になるのか先が待ち遠しく、本に釘付けになってしまう。誰が騙されるのか誰が騙すのか。そしてその駆け引きの行方は。まだ上巻を読んだだけではわからないけれども、下巻を読むのが楽しみでならない気持ちになる。

　馳星周氏の作品は性的表現が多少あるけれども、この作品ではそういった描写は一回だけで、登場人物たちの駆け引きややり取り、そして心理描写に重きを置いているので、登場人物たちに自然と感情移入してしまう。馳星周氏の作品の醍醐味といったら、やはり闇の世界を堪能できるところ。水商売はそうでなくとも、やくざの世界の上下関係、そしてそのやくざや悪徳警視正と癒着のある金融会社の内部事情や上司と部下のやり取り。触れることのできない世界に読んでいくうちに入り込んでしまう感覚は、興奮と恐怖の入り混じった新鮮な気持ちになる。一読の価値ありの作品だと思います。
