十和子さんの美しさは憧れ、美意識の高さと美への努力の姿勢はお手本にしたい、使用グッズやライフスタイルには興味あり・・・ということで雑誌などではよくチェックしています。
いちいち切り抜いてファイルする根性もマメさもない私にとってはこのような美のカリスマと言われる人たちのノウハウをまとめた本はうれしいです。

この本では十和子さんのメイク方法、使用コスメなどがカラーで紹介され、美への努力姿勢がエッセイで綴られています。
興味を持って読みましたが星３つなのは後から出た「パーフェクト十和子スタイル」と内容がかぶるところがけっこうあるのと、「パーフェクト・・」と比べるとカラー写真が少なく内容の充実度も低いことが理由です。

メディアで見ていた君島十和子さんというと華やかなイメージでしたが、この本を読んで、非常にしっかりした方だと思いました。

夫・子供達・周囲の人々（幼稚園で会った他のお母さん方や、十和子さんのお店に来るお客さん達）を大切にし、尊敬しているところが素晴らしいと思います。人を大切にする姿勢が文面に表れていて、共感しやすく、読みやすいです。嫌味がなく、「私の経験が皆様のお役に立てば」というスタンスで終始書かれているので、素直に読むことができます。

各項目、まず写真や絵→次にそれに関する文章、という構成になっているのも読みやすいです。まず写真や絵でイメージを得てから文を読むので、文章だけの本よりもスムーズに頭に入ってきます。

メイクのページも、ファッションのページもため息が出るほど
美しくて素敵。十和子さんのことを研究しているトワラーにとっては
もうありきたりすぎるほどの内容ではあるけれど、写真を見ているだけで
夢が広がり、主婦として「私も女は捨てられないわ！」という気分に
なるはず。

きれいな奥さんになるためのイメージ開発本として役に立つ本である。
