確かにかわいかったけど、もう少し赤ちゃんとママが接している場面が見たかったな、というのが本音です。これは主に、『「パリの赤ちゃん」の住むお部屋とインテリア』の本ですね。中には誰もいないお部屋の写真と、インテリアの説明だけのページがあったり。出てくるのは、いろいろアート関係なんかで活躍しているご両親の赤ちゃんばかり。そりゃ、お部屋や雑貨、お洋服がスタイリッシュなのは当たり前でしょう。でもそれは、赤ちゃんたちの本当に望むものかどうかは疑問で、ご両親のセンスの問題です。もっと一般的な赤ちゃんの暮らしぶりとかが知りたかったです。いくつかのコラムは興味深かったですが・・・

読者をよろこばせるオシャレな本を作るには、きれいな写真、かわいい雑貨が選ばれるのは当然ですが、そんな本はいくらでもありますよね。「パリの赤ちゃんとママ（パパ）の関係」ひいては「パリの赤ちゃんはどんなふうに育っているのか」について興味があった私には、ちょっと不満が残ったかな。

でもまあ、あんな素敵なお部屋でかわいいもの、いいものを毎日目にしながら育っていく赤ちゃんたちは、感性もすごいものになっていくんだろうな、とうらやましく思いました。インテリアや雑貨の選び方をお手本にするならいいかも知れません。

パリに暮らす赤ちゃんたちのいろいろな表情、お部屋のインテリア、ママたちに歌い継がれているうた、絵本…そして離乳食のレシピまで！旅行では分からない、かわいいパリの赤ちゃんたちの世界が広がった本。女の子なら、こういう世界大好きだと思う。
ショップリストもついていて、子供がいなくても、今度パリに行ったときに訪れて何かお土産を買ってみたい！
