鍵山 秀三郎
昭和8年、東京生まれ。昭和27年、疎開先の岐阜県立東濃高校卒業。昭和28年、デトロイト商会入社。昭和36年、ローヤルを創業し社長に就任。平成9年、社名をイエローハットに変更。平成10年、同社取締役相談役となる。創業以来続けている「掃除」に多くの人が共鳴し、近年は掃除運動が内外に広がっている。「日本を美しくする会」相談役

亀井 民治
昭和21年、鹿児島県生まれ。昭和45年、東京電機大学(二部)機械工学科卒業。高周波熱錬を経て、昭和50年に環境整備機器の製造販売を行うエッチアンドケイを設立、社長に就任。平成14年、ローヤルを改組設立。平成15年、ローヤルをシステムジャパンに社名変更し、社長に就任。経営コンサルティング、講演活動に従事。アイウィル「経営者能力養成コース」総合指導顧問。薩摩大使(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

これまで鍵山氏の本はたくさん読んだがどれも素晴らしく本書も例外ではない。

鍵山氏は掃除を通じて平凡な事を熱意を持って継続すれば非凡に繋がるといった哲学を持ち、目先の利益に囚われない経営を続けている経営者。経営者としてだけでなく、人間として尊敬できる人物である。

平凡な人間でも心がけ次第で実践できることのみが書かれているため、読後感は爽快であった。

本書はこれまで氏が述べてきた内容が広く網羅されている感じであり、まだ鍵山氏の本を読んだことがない方には特にお薦め。掃除や経営、生き方などの詳細は他書と併読すればさらに氏の考え（哲学）が理解できると思う。

「権利を使い切らない」、「伝説のドアマン」、「活路を見出す」など
読んでいて、私には足りない部分が多いと思いました。
これを読んで実行できる項目に難しいものはなく、一つ一つ大変分かりやすく
説明してくれていてこのような方がいらっしゃるのかと脱帽しております。
ますます、鍵山先生のファンになりました。

ときどき開いてみたい一冊である。
国は個人の集合体であり、国の将来を決めるのも個々人である。
いくら政府が立派な政策を打ち出そうとも、その政府を支える個人が、人間として共同生活を営む基本を忘れてしまえば、その国は崩壊してしまうだろう。
世の中の営みが複雑になればなるほど、人間としての基本がおろそかにされてしまうが、本書はその基本を丁寧に説いてくれる。時代に引き継ぎたい内容である。
