赤ちゃんの泣く理由が時期ごとに成長・発達と関連付けて書いてあった。今4ヶ月半の息子が離れるとすぐに泣く理由がわからず、色々聞いたり調べたりして分からないことがここに書いてあった。悩んでいたことが子供の成長して一段階あがったのだとわかると気が楽になった。泣く理由のほかに対応の仕方、この時期の子供の特徴、その時期に母親が陥りやすい感情など書いてあり、とても参考になる。文庫本で持ち歩けるので便利。
