『人生は素晴らしいものだ』
オグ・マンディーノ著
私は、この本に出会ってすっかりオグ・マンディーノ
の本の虜となりました。
私は、どんなに面白くても、同じ作家の本を続けて
読むという習慣はありません。
しかし、オグ・マンディーノの本は違っていました。
最近、オグ・マンディーノの文庫本に着目して
都合４冊読んでいます。これらの本の特徴は、
物語の最後に、特別なメッセージがあるのを知りつつ
それを楽しみにしながら物語の進行を楽しめる
構成になっています。
〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜
そこにザアカイという名の人がいた。この人は
取税人の頭で、金持ちであった。彼は、イエスが
どんな人か見たいと思っていたが、背が低かった
ので群衆にさえぎられて見ることができなかった。
　　　　　　ルカによる福音書第１９章2節〜3節
〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜〜
聖書の一節より得たインスピレーションから
この物語は、生まれたらしい。
この物語では、ザアカイの成功が如何にして
達成されたかが書かれています。
そして、イエスと会った後、ザアカイは
仕事から引退することを表明します。
ザアカイは、驚くべきことに育てあげた農園や
店舗の所有権を、熱心に働いて繁栄に導いた人々
に譲渡するのです。
それでも人々は、群衆となってザアカイの家に
おしかけます。
群衆の代表者ベン・ハダドは、尊敬を込めて
ザアカイに語りかけます。
『あなたが幼くしてご両親をなくされ、他の子供
たちが学校に行っている時、畑に出て長時間働か
なければならなかった．．．．あなたが、肉体的苦痛も
含めたあらゆる困難を克服して世界一の成功者
となった話を。・・・成功の秘訣が・・・・
毎日毎日、ただ生き残るために必死に闘っている
一般大衆には知られていない。より良い人生へと
と導く何か独特の指針とか、あるいは隠されて
通路のようなものでもあるのでしょうか』

ザアカイは、成功のルールを５０日の間に
まとめて城壁に書く約束をします。

平易な言葉で書かれており、あっという間に読み終えることができますが、著者のメッセージはずーっと残ります。

読み終わった後、自分がいい人になったことが実感できる本です。

成功哲学が私利私欲の追求じゃないことが、明らかにされている。しかし、自分自身になりきることが、世界一の成功だと語っている。色々なエキスが詰まった一冊だ。
