題名の通り、｢投資ファンド｣についての解説書的本です。

１不動産投資ファンド
２ヘッジファンド
３企業投資ファンド

とそれぞれを明確に区別して書かれており、非常にわかりやすい内容で、ファンドの仕組みが理解できます。

この本の最も良いところは、図や表が多くあり、理解しやすく工夫されている所だと思います。

また、ページ数もさほど多くないので、一息に読めます。

このような解説本にしてはめずらしく、起承転結が上手に構成されており、著者の主張も理解できるのがさらに本書の良さを引き立てています。


しかしながら、若干専門用語も出てくるので、日頃から経済誌を読んでいたりする人でなければ、抵抗を感じるかもしません。

不動産投資ファンド、ヘッジファンド、企業投資ファンドについて、その仕組みや評価の方法等につき懇切丁寧に解説している。入門書としては良い本だと思う。既に一定の知識がある人なら、第４章「投資ファンドの未来」を読むだけでも十分。

代表的な３つのカテゴリーのファンド（不動産投資ファンド、ヘッジファンド、企業投資ファンド）を簡潔に、しかも背景・理論も含めて説明しており読みやすい。
ヘッジファンドと言えば、ソロス、ジュリアンロバートソンの「クオンタム・ファンド」、投資理論のノーベル賞受賞者がいた「LTCM」など、大手のヘッジファンドが有名だったが、今や８０００ものファンドが存在するとは、しかも、同数のファンドが常に撤退・参入する競争の激しい世界。
その資金源が個人の年金だったりと、我々も間接的にファンドに関係あると思うと身近に感じる。

自ら企業投資ファンドに片足を突っ込んでいる身であるが、あらためて読むと社会的な意義を再確認することにもなった。今や新聞一面に掲載される「投資ファンド」は経済のイノベーター・潤滑剤となって益々身近なものになって行くだろう。学生・一般のビジネスマンが読んでも面白い本である。
