天風哲学は、「五輪書」を範とした武士の思想をベースに、いくつかの思想や宗教をブレンドしたもの。人生を思い巡らす人のために、中村天風の言葉の中から、わかりやすく、心に響く言葉を収録。


著者略歴 (「BOOK著者紹介情報」より)

中村 天風
1876年(明治9年)7月30日、東京府豊島郡(現東京都北区王子)で生まれる。本名、中村三郎。1904年(明治37年)、日露戦争の軍事探偵として満州で活躍。帰国後、肺結核を発病したことから人生を深く考え、真理を求めて欧米を遍歴する。その帰路、ヒマラヤの麓でヨガの聖者カリアッパ師の指導を受け、病を克服。帰国後は実業界で活躍するも、1919年(大正8年)、社会的地位、財産を放棄し、「心身統一法」として、真に生きがいのある人生を生きるための実践哲学についての講演活動を始める。同年、「統一哲医学会」を創設。政財界の有力者をはじめ数多くの人々の支持を受け、天風哲学として広く世間に認められるようになる。1968年(昭和43年)12月1日逝去、享年92歳(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

天風氏の語りの味を損なわず、１ページに１題目で編集されており、大変身近に据えておける良書です。

オリジナルとしては高価な本が多いですので、「君に成功を贈る」、「運命を拓く―天風瞑想録 」で、天風氏の語り口調を味わい、感銘を受け、「この本」を常備する。　という流れをお勧めします。

本書は1つの題目が見開き1ページに纏めてあるほか、持ち運びに便利なミニサイズであるため、非常に読みやすい。このため、隙間の時間に繰り返し読んで天風氏の哲学を噛み締めることのできる良書。

ただ、中村天風という人物を全く知らない人にとっては、一読では氏の本当に伝えようとする意味を汲み取ることは困難だと思う。この場合、他の関連本を読んでみるのもいいが、本書を繰り返し読むことで真意を理解することができれば、きっと末永く心に染み込んで財産になると思う。

生涯読み続けることのできる最高の書。

うまくコンパクトにまとめていると思います。
