　各都道府県、どこも差別なく二ページ分、生産物、事故率、リサイクル率、インフラの整備、趣味や嗜好品にかける情熱具合など、統計によって、県民の特徴を紹介した内容は、「へぇ~」なトリビアが満載で、地理の教科書が、本書みたいだったら、もっと地理の授業を楽しめたのにと感じました。見栄っ張り、ケチ、堅実、お気楽なイメージが定着した県民性をからかうのではなく、きちんと理由を述べて反証してゆく姿勢も良いと思います。例えば、本書の四コママンガで、福井県の県民性を表現すると、福井県民は、効率を優先するしっかり者→女性の就業率が日本一→調理食品の購入額も日本一→そして生命保険額も日本一というオチになっています。読めば、きっと友人や同僚にも話したくなるような一冊です。
