ちいさなこどもにわかるように説明することがどんなにむずかしいか誰でも経験している。超ひも理論なんて最先端の理論をマンガにすることにチャレンジした新進気鋭のマンガ家大谷匠司さんに敬意を表したい。これ一冊ですべてがわかろうとすることがどだいムリなのであろう。類書をかたっぱしから読んでいると、この本で読み飛ばしたことがスッとわかったりする。星４つの評価も読む側の理解能力が低かったからと思ってください。

素粒子の基礎知識を付けたい！という人にお勧めです。
でも漫画だからといってなめてはいけません。
本当に漫画だからこそわかりやすいのです。
４つの相互作用のことや、物体の存在、などが良くわかります。
隅々に少しですが深い知識のことも書いてあります。
応用知識を付けたいという人にはおすすめできませんが、
素粒子って何？って方には本当にお勧めです。

もともと難しい理論なので、仕方ないけど、基礎的な理論の説明もかなりはしょっている箇所が自分でわかった範囲でも２箇所あり、初心者向けには、難しすぎる。
キャラクターが難しい理論の理解を助けるように簡単に説明をすべきところを、説明を放棄してキャラクターに「むずかしい」しか言わないところや、バックに書かれている絵と理論自体に何の関係もない場面があり、無駄にページを使っている。
