12歳の娘に、経済のことを説明するのは難しい。本書は、１０代の少年少女にも、経済、世の中の仕組みをサラッとつかめるようにかかれている。経済学ジャンルでは、いままでなかった！？年代不詳のジャジーラに迷い込む少女の”ファンタジー仕立て”が、初心者を退屈させない。哲学的要素も多く、ものごとを深く考えさせられる内容。経済学というジャンルだけにくくられると、チェックしてくる読者層が限られてもったいないかも。装丁のかわいさと中身の不偏的哲学を評価して、セカンドハンド市場には出さず、ずっと手元においておきたい一冊。

まずカバーがかわいくて、その次にタイトルとのギャップが気になり購入しました。感想は…読もうと思えばどこまででも読めるという感じです。どういうことかと言いますと、さらっと読めてしまえる部分もあり、シンプルな文章でも考えると深かったり…。文化の経済学という学問は私はこの本を通して初めて知ったのですが、哲学的でかなり興味が持てました。最後に、参考文献のページはとってもかわいくってお気に入りです。

おススメの本です。松井氏もすごいですが、イラストが効いています。
袋小路に入っている経済学に、新しい、でも実は経済学の始まりにおいてすでに言及されている、根本的な課題である「人間にとっての本当の豊かさ」を追求した本です。それなのに物語！多様な年齢層の、そして様々な分野の人が読んで、「経済学を勉強したい」という人口が増えることを期待させる本です。ただ、「読もう」というきっかけをつかむのが難しいかも。そんな意味で色々なところで宣伝したもらいたい本です。
この本は、現代の解決困難な問題を読者に投げかけますが、最終的にはそれぞれが自分の頭で考えることを要求します。その意味でも知的インセンティブを高めることが期待されます。
