子どものおもちゃを買うため、大人が読む本かと思います。
作者の「好きっ！~」シリーズの漫画も読みましたが、すこし形式が違い、
おもちゃ一点につき一ページの割合で、イラストやカラー写真付で
詳しく説明しています。
おもちゃの作者・製作社（国名）・日本での取り扱い会社・価格・
材質・対象年齢なども出ていて、おもちゃの参考書のようです。

ネフ社のおもちゃをはじめ、
「シロフォン付玉の塔（クーゲルバーン）」
「カラームカデ」
「ジルケ人形」
「テディベア」
「キンダーメモリー」
「スーパーメイズ」
「プラステン」
「ハンマートーイ」
「スコットランドヤード」
「蜜ろう粘土」
などなど・・・78点のおもちゃが紹介されています。

中には「ルービックキューブ」もあり、懐かしくなりました。
どれも定番のおもちゃで、木製のものが多く、
子どものおもちゃ選びに参考になり、遊び方もエピソード付で
載っているので、楽しく読めました。

木のおもちゃ好きにはたまらない本。
そうなんだよな、といつのまにかうんうんうなずいて、そのまま木のおもちゃを買いに走りたくなる危険な本でもあります。
はじめての赤ちゃんにおもちゃを買う人には
ちょっと重すぎるくらいの情報量がぎっしりとつまっています。
