いつまでもすきでいてくれる？…この本は読んでもらう子供にとっては、お母さんがどんなに子供を愛しているかを確認し、お母さんにとってはどんなに子供を愛しているかを再確認させてくれる本です。その優しい語りは、子供よりむしろ母親の胸を打つに違いないと思います。水彩で描いたような絵もとても美しい本です。

ぼくが ○○になちゃったら それでも かわいいとおもう？
そうやって「ぼく」は「○○」に様々な言葉を入れては、「ママ」の
愛を確かめようとします。そのたびに「ママ」のこたえる言葉は、
なんてユーモアと愛情に満ちているのでしょう。
その絶妙な内容の返事が楽しみで、「ママ」の応えるページを
繰りながら、「ぼく」と一緒に読み手までワクワクしてしまいます。

「りんごのきになっちゃったら？」
「ママはりんごをつんで あまいジャムをつくってあげる」
「えほんになっちゃったら？」
「きっとよむのが やめられないわ」
「おほしさまになっちゃったら？」
さあ、「ママ」はどんなふうに応えてくれるでしょうか…。

さらっとした絵とほのぼのとしたやりとりがあたたかい絵本です。
ただ、「ママ」の応えるページの絵は愛らしく工夫されているのですが、
「ぼく」がたずねるシーンの絵は、今ひとつさえません。
子供らしい奇想天外な質問をする場面の生き生きとした雰囲気を
もっと絵として表現できたら、素敵になるんじゃないかと思います。

今年から幼稚園に行く息子。ママから離れなければならないことが、不安でたまらないようです。ママに甘えたくて仕方ないみたい。　
この本は、ママがぼうやのことをどれほど愛しているか・・を、とってもかわいらしく表現してくれています。
子供もママも、あったかい気持ちになれる本だと思います。
下の子ができて、お兄ちゃん・お姉ちゃんになったお子さんにも、いいかもしれないな〜と思います。
