テレビの西部劇を最後まで見せてもらえなかった、それだけの理由でここまで怒っていいものか。
最初にこの絵本を読んだのは15年ほど前ですが、これを越える絵本はまだありません。

小学生の時に図書室で読んですっかりハマりました。内容については怒っていたすごい本という記憶しかなかったのですが、今あらためて見てみると記憶よりもはるかに怒っています。
ひたすら怒っています。
破壊しまくります！
大気圏越えてます！
「子供ナメんなーーー！！！」という熱い気持ちを思い出させてくれる作品です。
つまりロックンロールと同等です、これは。

アーサーはママにテレビを中断されて、おこった。アーサーがおこると家や町がめちゃめちゃになってしまい、そしてついに…。小学１年の息子に読んであげたらケラケラ笑って大ウケ！大人からしてみると「そこまでウケるかなあ？」と不思議なくらい。町が壊れる様子など、大人でも見ごたえのある絵本です。
