~この単語集が類書と比べて優れているのは、小さなサイズにも関わらずページに文字を詰め込んでいない点。
見ただけで圧倒されてしまうという、単語集にあリがちな欠点がない。
内容では、例文が短いこと、類義語・反対語がまめに示されていることが良い。
また、語源の紹介とともに対応する英単語が多く示されているため、記憶のきっかけが自然に増えるようになっている。
2000語のうち約半数の見出し語が赤刷りとなっているので、まずこれだけを目標に学習しても効果的だと思う。
（この点は著者の前書きでもすすめている）~

　長い間使っています。語源や反対語等も載せていて、著者の言うとおり、たしかに有効です。単語をおぼえるときに、単語集だけに依存していても、実際に使ってみないことには物にならないわけですから、わたしは単語集はもともと補助的に使っています。
　辞書を片端から覚えて、覚えた部分は捨ててしまうという方もいるようですから、そういう向きにはもっと別の、単語がぎっしり詰まっていて、片方を隠せば答えが見えないようになっているものの方がいいでしょう。ただし、単純なつくりでは、たとえば、vielleichtとwarscheinlichの使い分けなど、出ていませんが、本書ではていねいに説明しています。

書名に惹かれて買いました。
内容（語源や英語対照）は良いと思いますが、単語集ってその単語と訳のどちらかを栞などで隠しながら覚えませんか？
（本書のように辞書的なレイアウトの場合、他の方々はどのように使っているのでしょうか？）
また、どうせならアルファベット順（そもそもアルファベット順って単語記憶時には全く無意味だと思うのは私だけ？）ではなく、関連性からグループ別などにすればもっと良いと思います。
批判ばかりでは心苦しいので、最後に「内容は良い」と繰り返しておきます。
