唐代には、東晋王義之の行書の名作《蘭亭序》に関する多くの鉤填本・臨〓本が現われた。この巻は、明代では〓@64AD遂良の〓本とされていたが、董其昌の跋の中の「永興(虞西南)の臨する所なるに似る」という言葉から、後世になって虞世南の〓したものと改称されるようになった。たとえば清代の梁清標は、巻首の題簽を「唐代永興臨禊帖」とした。なこおこの〓本は、巻中に元の天暦の内府の蔵印があるので、「天暦本」ともいわれている。

蘭亭叙（または蘭亭序）というのは書道をやった人ならたいてい知っている有名な書です。ただ王ギ之が書いた真跡は７世紀に皇帝の墓に一緒に葬られてしまったので、コピーや拓本だけが残っています。
2002年12月、上海博物館でこのコピーを鑑賞することができました。北京故宮博物院、遼寧省博物館との合同で開催された晋唐宋元国宝展で、北京から貸し出されたのです。墨がずいぶん薄くなっていますが、なかなか迫力があり、コピーした原本がよほどよかったのだろうとおもわせるものでした。二玄社によるこの複製は、写真も良く、墨色・紙の色ともそうとうよく再現しています。また、原本は巻子本に装丁されているのですが、その表紙の布、題箋から、跋文まで全てカラー原寸で再現されています。上海でもここまで端々まで観ることはできませんでした。墨が薄いので他のモノクロ複製では、幽霊のようにかぼそくみえるか、逆に濃く印刷し過ぎてしまうかの両極端になりがちです。これは優れた複製だと思います。
このコピーは、17世紀ごろに石に彫刻されて、拓本にとられ流布しました。その拓本や拓本の印刷物は明治ころから日本でも普及しています。張金界奴本・余清斎帖本と名がついているものがそれです。私が、中国の書の美に最初にひかれたのが、包装紙に印刷されたこの蘭亭叙の拓本でしたから、縁があると思っています。
