税金の本なのに、やわらかい紙と言葉遣いで、分かりやすく解説している。
コラムなども入れて、読者を飽きさせない工夫もしていて、良い。

ただ、少し範囲が広すぎる。
そのため、自分にとっては不必要な部分が多かった。

もしかしたら、薄く全ての税金の知識が欲しいという人には合っている内容なのかもしれない。

いわゆる税金の入門書を、架空の登場人物を仕立てて、
ストーリー形式で解説していくもの。
これまでの「キモシリーズ」と同様、わかりやすく、読みやすい。

こういうストーリー仕立てにすると、
「話は面白いが肝心なことがわからない」
「肝心なこと(税金の基本）はわかるが、話が陳腐」
「どっちつかず」
……となりがちだが、この本にはそれらがない。
ストーリーが面白く、キャラも立っている。

主人公と、税理士のタマゴの大月くん、上司の小林経理部長など、
「ありえないだろ、そんなキャラ」というものではなく、
どこにでも居そうで、それでいてユニーク。

しかも、掛け合いで問題が提起され、そのあときちんとした「解説」が続く、
という流れも実にスムーズだ。

国会が不安定なので、年末ぐらいには「改訂版」でも必要になるかもしれないが、
トリビアな話題もさりげなく盛り込まれたりしているし、
少なくとも税金の基本だけは、あれよあれよで身についてしまう。
かなりの「良書」だと思う。
