Google Earthがすごいのは直感的に分かるけど、
立体図やフライト再現などのテクニックがどうすればいいのか
分からないとか、
画面の移動がもう少し早くならないのかなどの不満もあるはず。
そういう時にこの本は役に立ちます。
ただし、この本で使っているGoogle Earthは既にバージョンが
古いので、この本でも悪くはないのですが、どうせ買うなら新
しく出版された本をお勧めします。

この本によると最低限のスペックとしてグラフィックカードがいるらしい

しかーし、グラフィックカードなしでインストールしても使えました。

アメリカ合衆国からtokyo,japanと入れて検索を

押すと一速跳びに皇居近くまで行きます。

まさに宇宙空間から飛び込んで行くような感覚で

瞬間移動が可能になっています。

『GoogleEarth』ここまでできるんだ

もしできるなら、ナスカの地上絵やピラミッド

世界中あらゆるところを見てみたい。

この本によるとインストールの後

ロード時にエラーになってしまう

ケースが書いてあって、ＰＣのユーザアカント

を英字1文字にすると回避できると書いてあったので

その通りにして使えるようになりました。

『仁和寺にある法師・・・先達（せんだち）はあらま

ほしき事なり。』知らないばっかりに末社に行って

本殿まで行かずに素晴らしかったと言って帰ってきた

人の話（徒然草のお話）のように一度試した人の知恵

は必要かもしれません。

GoogleEarthについて書いた本は、まだあまりないので

結構貴重かも．．．．。

映像もgoogleマップのサテライトよりかなり鮮明で

色んな角度から見ることができて結構楽しい。

ただし、見たい場所の鮮明な画像があるとは限りません

私の家のあたりもさいたま市のはずれの方なので

イキナリぼやけた映像になっていました。

やはり、日本だと東京近郊が鮮明なようです。

　Google Mapに続き、ヒットが予感されるGoogle Earthの攻略本です。
　Google Earthは地球儀ソフトの１つですが、いろんな情報を重ね合わせて見れる、動きが速くてきれい、追加情報をWebで提供しているサイトが多いなどの特徴があり、Webブラウザを補完する新しいブラウザの１つとして使えそうです。
　このソフトで何ができるか？を体感するための手引書としておすすめです。
