最初に買った池田和弘の本。少しずつ、2ヶ月ぐらいかけて一通りやってみた。結構時間がかかったが、繰り返し読んでいたらじわじわと覚えられた。

「これまで多くの病気が人間をafflictしてきたが、このcenturyに入ってrapidlyにscienceがadvanceし、horribleな病気がつぎつぎとconquerされてきた。…」

このように短い話の中に英単語が含まれている。こういう短い話がたくさん用意されている。実際には単語にカタカナでルビが付いているので読みやすい。これで文脈から単語の意味を覚えるのだが、もう一方で単語のみを高速音読するということをする。そうすることで相乗効果を生み出すという方式。

でもこのやり方は文章を読まなくてはならないから、結構時間がかかる。この方式よりも、「英単語が面白いほど記憶できる!法／池田和弘」シリーズの方式のほうが簡潔で私には向いていると思った。

この本に書かれた英単語の覚え方なら、英語の勉強がはかどるだろう！

図書館で借りて、あまりにもよいので買ってしまいました。エッセイを読む感覚で気軽に読めます。ただ、英単語を読むのにちょっと時間がかかるので、付属のテープとやるとやりやすいです。
