　本書は、目次からも分かるように、情報セキュアド試験で大きな割合（4-5割）を占める情報セキュリティ分野に焦点を絞って解説するものである。実際の試験ではそのほかの分野からも出題されるが、本資格取得を目指す人であれば初級シスアドなどの資格を持つと考えられるので、問題ない。

　本書の最大の特徴は、各節ごとに関連する午前問題が複数掲載され、各章末には関連する午後問題が掲載されている点にある。ある程度のページ数を読んで得た知識がどのような形で出題されるかを知ることができ、また知識の確認にもなる。本書には、問題集が別冊であったり、過去問何年分という形で付録になったものにはない学習効果があると思われる。解説自体は他社の対策本と大きく変わるものではないが、平成17年度試験での新傾向の出題を意識した掲載内容となっている。

　ただし、本書だけで試験対策を了とするわけにはいかない。本書で扱われない分野の午前問題に一通り触れる必要があるし、午後問題に関しては出来るだけ多くの事例を見、求められている解答を問題文中から拾い出しコンパクトにまとめるクセをつける必要がある。本書にも過去問は二年分収載されているが、別に各社の過去問集、さらに余裕が有ればアイテック情報技術教育研究所の予想問題集を購入することを検討することをお勧めする。

　なお、本書は電車等で持ち運びながら読むことは難しい。何よりサイズが大きいし、関連図が別ページに配置されることも多く、卓上での利用が前提となる。携帯しながら勉強をしたい方は別の書籍を探した方がよい。

　全体として、各社の対策本にそれほど優劣はなく、対策の手始めとして本書は必要十分であろう。その意味で☆五つを付けた。

経費をかけたくないため、いじっていないページがあまりにも多い。
情報が古すぎる。受験者は気づかないが実務者からみるととんでもない間違いもかなりある。

午後は試験傾向が大きく変わり、技術知識よりもビジネスセンスが問われるようになった。この本で学習した人はほどんど無駄な努力をしたといえよう。

試験範囲に対して、記述されている内容は十分だと思います。
しかし、試験対策として考えるとこれだけのボリュームをやりぬくには
かなりの時間がかかるでしょう。
要は絞込みが出来ていないのです。
対策本なのですから、ここに注力して欲しかったと思います。
