現実の金融制度の基本を分かり易く解説した本。
図表を使った説明や作者のユーモアなセンスによって、直観的にわかりやすい解説となっている。
特に、この本の中で触れられている、証券化についての説明は、入門書ではあまり解説されることが少ないが、とても詳細で分かり易く、入門者以外にも役立つ内容であると思われる。
金融業界への就職を考えている人、これから投資を始める人には必読の書。

金融について初心者でも学べる本を探していたところ、
本のタイトルのシンプルさから手にとってみた１冊。

当方、理系のために、金融を学んだことがなかったため、
社会人になっても、｢？｣がつく事柄が多かった。

しかし、この本を読み、金融のぼやけていた姿が、段々とハッキリするようになってきた。
例えば、日経新聞の記事の内容が少しわかりやすくなる等。

簡単な言葉や、例をあげての解説が良く、
まったく学んだ事のない人にとって良書であると思う。

金融の仕組みと役割についてのやさしい解説書。切り口は、
「乗り物」と「通り道」。お金を人から人へ受け渡しする
ときの「乗り物」として“負債”と“資本”、その乗り物
の通り道として“中継所（金融機関）”と“市場”。金融
の姿をこの組み合わせで４つのパターンで区分し、それぞ
れの特徴やメリット・デメリットを順々に解説していきます。

ポイントは2点。一つは、一見高度に見える金融技術も、
“乗り物”と“通り道”を使い分けたり入れ替えたりする
「応用問題」に過ぎないこと。もう一つは、「金融機関は、
情報を利用してもうけを生み出している情報産業である」
という認識。

世間で言われる、金融業の胡散臭さへの反例として著者が挙
げたのが、二酸化炭素の排出量取引の証券化というのは理解
に苦しむところ（ブラックジョーク？本書の中には、融資を
受けたい人にお金を廻す仕組みとか、世の中の役に立ってい
る話も多いのに）。でも、金融の役割を見直すことができる
良い本です。
