ここには小手先の技術、近視眼的な売上げアップの方法はない。タイトル通り、正に儲けの王道がエピソードと共に88例紹介されいる。

基本的な「王道」は下記の3つにまとめられる
・顧客と個人的な人間関係、信頼関係をつくること
・前例からくる常識を考えずに行動すること
・商品の思いをお客に伝えること

決して売り込みをせず、ニュースレター、イベントで、（潜在）顧客と人間的な関係を構築し、信頼を得る。伝えるのは、商品そのものや値段の安さではなく、その商品への思い、作り手の思いを伝えるのだ。そう、売る物は商品ではなく、お客が買った時の商品との体験を想像させる、買う動機への情報を提供すればいいのだ。

８８の話という末広がりをイメージするタイトルとおり、
自分もお客様も楽しく繁栄するヒントが満載です。


「儲け」には理由がある。ある店に多くのお客が集まることも、
ある商品がたくさん売れることも、確たる理由がある。
そうなるために必要なことをやったからそうなったのだ。
（中略）
儲けは浮かんでは消えていく泡のようなものではない。
「当たった」「はずれた」とかいう宝くじのようなものでもない。
景気とやらに左右される大海の小船でもないのだ。
必要なことをやればその結果として、お客は集まり商品は売れる。
商売はその意味ではシンプルなものだ。


シンプルなこと行動していく決意がある方は絶対に読んだほうがいい。

そして、最高の喜びを得られることができることを確信するだろう。

小阪氏のマーケティング書はわりと綿密に話の流れが組み立てられていることが多い。
だが、本書はコラムをまとめたということで、どこからでも気軽に読むことができる。
単にまとめただけではつまらない、と考える人もいるかも知れないが、「日経ＭＪ」連載時から読んでいる私としては、こうしてまとめて読むことでまた、違った気づきがあった。

事例の一つひとつは、「おお、すごい」というようなことよりも、「なんだ、こんなことでいいんだ！」というものが多い。
逆に言えば、それに気づけばマーケティングというものの可能性は無限に広がる、ということでもある。

一話一話が仕事のモチベーションを高めてくれる一冊だ。
