感想としては「やっぱ、ジャックウェルチといえども人間だね」
といったところでしょうか。

上下巻あわせて単行本2冊にしては読み応えがありました。

気性が激しく、失敗もかなりして、普通に心配もして
かと思えば自信過剰になったりと虎視眈々と書き上げられています。

すこしでも経営に興味があれば読んで見るのは○。
話は分かりやすいです。経営用語などは分からなくてもまったく問題なし。

この本から経営学やシックスシグマを学ぼうと思うのではなく
経営者はどういう人間であるべきか！を読める本です。

以前ある大会社の社長から頂いた言葉に

「ビジネスは詰まるところ　人格と人格のぶつかり合い」

というものがありましたが、本当にそうなんだと再度この言葉の
意味をじっくりと実感できました。

そしてまたビジネスパーソンたるものは「誠実を貫かなくてはならない」。
ということも実感できます。

MBA持っていても、どんなに経営学の知識が豊富でも
どんなに専門知識が豊富でも、どんなに頭がよくても
経営をうまくするには、それ以外にもっと大事なものが必要なんだと感じます。

米国の偉大な企業の一つのGEのCEOだった人の回顧録

下巻は買収で成功した放送局のNBCと退任直前で失敗したハネウェルを中心に
最後に次のCEOを選ぶことで筆を置いています．
GEが官僚主義の会社だったのが，まるで小さい会社のように
スピード早く，かつ，規模のメリットを最大限に生かして動的に
変化する会社へと移ったのが良くわかります．

また，次期CEOを決める苦悩を書いていたのがほかの
回顧録と異なって如何に企業を経営するのかがわかる気がしました．
