高 巌
1956年大分県生まれ。1985年早稲田大学商学研究科博士課程を修了(商学博士)。1991‐94年ペンシルベニア大学ウォートンスクール客員研究員。2000年企業倫理世界会議(ISBEE)理事。2002年ISO企業社会責任高等諮問会議委員、内閣府国民生活審議会委員、経済産業省日本工業標準調査会専門委員。2003年経済産業省産業構造審議会委員、CSR標準委員会作業部会主査、国土交通省地域づくり戦略研究会主査など。現在、麗沢大学国際経済学部教授、同大学企業倫理研究センター長、九州大学ビジネススクール講師など(本データはこの書籍が刊行された当時に掲載されていたものです)

5.0 out of 5 stars コンパクトながら痛切な事例を盛り込む。, 2004/1/19
企業経営を進めるうえで、ややもすれば、おざなりにされてしまいそうなテーマ。それがコンプライアンスの経営者の関心における位置づけなのかもしれない。

がこのコンパクトな新書は、必要となった背景、米国を中心とする「これはやらないと大変なことになる」という経緯、そして、日本における日本ハムや雪印など、記憶に新しい事件をきっかけとした従業員の方々の真剣な取り組み等痛切な事例を、限られた紙面の中で、実践にあたって必要なことがしっかりと伝わるように記されている。

まず、問題を把握したい。そして、実践に移さなければならない。全社をそのように向かわせなければならない。そのような立場の方たちにとって、短時間で、深い洞察と実践のコツのつかめる好入門書となっている。

コンプライアンスの現状を知りたくてこの本を購入した。ＣＳＲ等の最新の情報も折り込んでありたいへん役に立った。
入門とは言えないが決して初学者にも無理ということはなく、
実務的な「どのような体制を敷いたらよいのか」という部分に重点を置きまとめている。
コンプライアンスを広い意味で捉えており、倫理的なものも含め「法令遵守活動」という意味で定義している。
インテグリティ＝「誠実さ」でありコンプライアンス経営は経営のインテグリティを確固たるものとすることが目的である。
経営の基盤でありこれは最も重要とすべきものである。

本書を手に取った理由は、「なぜ最近になってコンプライアンス徹底が声高に叫ばれるのか」という問題意識からだった。本書はその回答を見事に与えてくれたと思う。企業経営を取り巻く環境の変化から言及し、コンプライアンスの重要性およびその計画実行について具体的にわかりやすく記述されていた。特に「小さな政府を前提とした行政の事後チェック能力を高めるため、企業自身に違法経営を徹底する体制を敷くことが必要になった」ことと「コンプライアンス経営にとって大切なことは、法令の文言のみならず、その精神まで主体的に遵守・実践しようとする組織文化を醸成すること」は、自分にとってコンプライアンスに取り組むための有用な知識となり得たと思う。
