この本の内容が真実であるのか、著者の妄想であるのか、それは知らない。
しかし、驚くべき内容が書いてある。読み進むうちにぐいぐい引き込まれて
最後まで一気に読んでしまった。

著者によると生きながらにして人間の霊魂が肉体から抜け出るという体外離
脱能力をだれもが持っているらしい。著者が設立したモンロ-研究所は著者

が死亡後も引き続きその研究を続けている。

本書で語られる内容はインスペックと著者が名づけた知的生命体との出会い
のほか、大昔の地球人や非人類の知的生命体との邂逅も語られている。

体外離脱を信じない人であっても第一級のＳＦ作品として楽しめると思う。
従来のＳＦ作品をはるかに超えた内容を本書は持っている。

モンロー氏の著書は３冊あるが、この本が内容的には一番濃い。
前著からの謎が全て解明されており、壮大な宇宙の姿を垣間見せてくれる名著だと言っても過言ではないだろう。
モンロー氏の「旅」自体を信じるも信じないも個人の自由だが、一読して損のない本だと思う。　とにかく面白いから読んでみる事をお薦めする。

ただ面白いというだけでなく、私たちはなぜこの世に生まれてくるのか、死んだらどうなるのかなどといったことについて示唆を与えてくれる本です。
「体外離脱なんて信じられない」と思っている方も娯楽として読んでみて頂きたいと思います（これだけリアルな体験を単なる幻覚か何かに過ぎないと片づけてしまうのは難しいと思いますが）。
前作「魂の体外旅行」を読んでからの方がより面白く読めるでしょう。
