フランクルの著書は重複している内容が多いが、「フランクルに学ぶ」では、よく出てくる例などを主に取り上げ、要点をわかりやすく説明している。一冊でフランクルの思想について知りたい人にとっては最良の書であり、また、これからフランクルの本を手にとる人にとっては入門書として最適である。

以前に１册買ってずっと手元においていたのですが、
数人に貸しているうちに戻ってこなくなってしまい、
また買うはめになった本です。

フランクルの「夜と霧」「それでも人生にイエスという」
「死と愛」などに共通するロゴセラピーがこの本１册に
凝縮されているので、気持ちが沈んだ時に手にしてます。
忙しくてなかなか本を読む時間がとれない人にはお薦めです。

人間が極限状態におかれると、ケダモノのように堕落する
場合もあれば、聖者のごとく高貴な人間性を発揮する場合
もあります。フランクルは後者の「人間の高貴なる本質」
が人間の本当の姿だと説いています。実存哲学者フランクル
の著書から「愛と覚醒」を主題に紹介しているので、テーマ
がぶれることなく、一貫していて読み易いです。

多くの参考文献をあげているにもかかわらず、つぎはぎでは
終わらせない作者の視点を通じて、読む人も考えさせられます。

自己を開花させ、実践する。ただそれだけのことが、とても
難しくなってしまった現代人への、優しいメッセージです。

『夜と霧』を読み、フランクルの入門としてこの本を選びました。
彼がどのような人生を生きたか、その中で何を見つけていったか
概要が良く分かりました。私のような初心者には良書だと思います。
この本を元に、紹介されている本にチャレンジしていこうと思います。
