私は誰にもソーイングの基礎を習ったこともないのに、いきなり型紙つきのソーイングの本を買ってきて自己流でつくったりしていましたが、出来上がってみると・・いまいち（汗）。そこでこの本を読んでみたら、「なんだ、こんな道具があるのか」とか「ああ、こうすべきだったんだ」とか・・自分がいかに基礎を知らなかったか・・。
　私のように独学の人には最適ですよ。

我流で洋裁をしています。きちんと習ったことがないので、洋服を作るときに、本にのっていない細かいこと（衿まわりやダーツのちょっとしたところの処理）がわからなくて、困っていました。
この本は、そういう細かいかゆいところに手が届く本です。
完成品の作り方は全く載っていません。例にあがっているワンピースがとてもかわいいパターンなので、事例として１つくらい、これの作り方を追って説明してくれていたらなあと思ったので、星ひとつ少なく評価しました。

値段が普通の本よりも高いのですが、初心者の人（私とか）には最適な一冊です。
基本中の基本の縫い方、いろいろな服の縫い方が部分ごとに細かく解説されていて、写真を見るだけでも楽しいです。
そして細かいことですが、やってみるとあら不思議！
今までうまく出来なかったところがきちんとできて、
服の出来栄えがぜんぜん違います。
一回服を作ってみてから読み返すと、どこがわからなかったのかよくわかりますよ！　
写真が「ここが知りたい！」というところをドンピシャで写してくれているので、小道具も含めていろいろ勉強になりますよ~。
