友達が珠算塾に通うようになり、実家から私の子供時代に使用していた「そろばん」を子供が持ち帰ってきた。懐かしくて計算をはじめると、「かけざん」「わりざん」ができない。完全にやり方を忘れている････。ショックでした。

子供が興味を持っているし、私も思い出したくて、いろんな本を探し、やっと見つけたのがこの本です。

大きな文字、キャラクターが登場、図解のわかりやすい説明。
検定試験の詳しい情報も、もちろんのっていますし、出題形式もよくわかります。この値段でこの内容はうれしいのですが、できれば本の大きさを倍程度にし、本を広げながら学べる工夫が欲しかった。

子供にそろばんを教えようと思って、教材を色々探してみましたが本書が一番分かりやすいと思います。
子供にも理解しやすいように丁寧な図を使って説明してありますし、難易度順に構成されているので、本の順番通りに勉強していけば珠算、暗算とも3級レベルまでは学ぶ事が出来るようになっています。
但し、暗算の章は、掛け算が2桁×1桁、割り算が3桁÷1桁までの説明しかなく、出来れば暗算2級レベルの2桁×2桁の説明を載せてほしかった。（珠算とはやり方が違うんです）
あと、他の方もコメントされていますが、本が分厚いので開きながらそろばんの珠を弾くというのは無理です。改善を望みます。
割り算の九九があったことや、時間の計算がそろばんで出来るのは、この本で初めて知りました。

本の中には、かわいいキャラクターが出ているので、ますは
年長さんのむすめに「絵本風」によんでみましたら、親しんで
すすめることが出来ました。
しかし、本の大きいさが微妙で、ホンを開きながらそろばんを…
という学習スタイルは困難に思えました。

まったくそろばんに触れたことも無い方には　おすすめだと感じました。☆★
