いわゆる「郵政民営化」の議論について概観を把握しようと考え、本書を購入しました。新聞やテレビの報道では与野党の政治家の片言隻句が取り上げられ、一般読者・視聴者である私には、風景画を虫眼鏡で覗いているかのようで、議論の勘所を捉えることができませんでした。

この本は、与党、特に郵政民営化推進派の立場から郵政民営化の目的と法案概要を解説したものです。郵政や金融の専門知識がないひとを対象にした本なので、読み易く、図版も理解しやすいです。

この本を読む限り、なぜ郵政民営化に反対する人々が出てきたのだろう、と思えてくるのですが、それは民営化推進派の視点で書かれた本なので当たり前です。

単に読者を自論に引き込むだけでなく、なぜ反対派と推進派に意見が分かれたのだろう？と疑問を抱かせるあたりも、入門書として、著者の意図しない本書の成功部分だと思います。

すでに郵政民営化は政策のレールを走り出しておりますが、民営化を推進する意図は何だったのか、おさらいをしたい方は、ぜひ手にとってみてください。

　８０ページと薄い本ではあるが，読みやすく，内容も充実しており，郵政民営化に関する基礎知識を得るには格好の一冊。民営化の理由，将来の郵政事業像，新法のポイント，民営化による問題点等があますくことなく書かれており，短時間で論点を理解することができる。

民営化推進派の考えがよく分かる本です。

ただ、郵便事業参入のハードルを下げれば民間がもっと参入するという主張は疑問です。郵政事業は社会的弱者のライフラインであり儲からない事業であるという認識が欠けているように感じました。
