したたる緑や差し込む陽の光、やまゆりやてんとうむし。 自然の美しさが絵本からあふれ出てきそうなほど緻密で美しい挿絵です。 親子で何度もじっくりと見て、「あ、ここにかまきりがいる！」などと発見したりして楽しみました。

ストーリーは祖父母、両親、そして10匹のねずみのきょうだいが雨上がりの初夏の日に谷川へ洗濯にゆく、それだけなのですが、大家族の温かさがジンと伝わってきます。 おすすめです。

絵本で季節感が得られる、というのも珍しい話ですが、
１４ひきシリーズはその辺に重点を置いていますので
うちではあさごはん以外はなるべく季節季節にかいたしてきました。
秋頃からはまって、娘に５月まで待ちなさい、と言い続けて
やっとかった「せんたく」。
もう買ってないのはシリーズであと２冊なのですが、
わたしの評価ではシリーズ中

あさごはんに次いで２番目によし、ぐらいの
高い点数をつけたいです。
梅雨明けが設定のようですが
洗濯物を干すシーンのさわやかなこと！
お洗濯もたのしそうだし、お魚を捕ったり笹舟を作ったり、の
小さなイベントもたのしそう。娘も俄然お気に入りになったようです。
（近くの川であやうく「からだも洗濯だ！」を実践されそうになり
あせりましたが）

人形の世話をかいがいしくやくくんちゃん、（ひがさまでさしてあげている、、、）なぜかはだかんぼなのに帽子だけはかぶっているごうくん、「かぶり物好き」のろっくんとにっくん、
相変わらず細かい描写はいつもどおりです。

このシリーズはすべて、

話にすごい起承転結があるわけではないので、淡々とした話をどのように楽しませるか、というのが読み聞かせのポイントになると思いますが、「絵」本の楽しみ方の原点のような本だと思います。

みんなでお洗濯！その時々の季節の本を買っていて、夏らしくていいな~と思い購入。娘はパンツを落としちゃう場面が大好きでそこを読むと必ず「もう一回戻って！！」と言い、２回は読まされます。所々にひそんでいる虫を見つけたり、ねずみの表情をみて推測したり・・・１冊だけでもかなり見る所があり、満足です！！
