１４ひきシリーズの中では１，２をあらそう
ダイナミックな構想の本。
冒頭からくんちゃん（下から２匹目のまだ小さい子）がエレベーター？であがっていくのにまずびっくり、いつもは
住んでいる木の下で話が展開するところ、
今回はずっとずっと木の上です。

まだまだどんどんあがっていき、上でみんながお月見台作り。

そんなに簡単にお月見台が作れるんだったら私も木の上で
お月見したいなあ、とか思ってしまいます。

くんちゃんが持ってきた水筒２つはさっそく迎えに来た
ごうくんとさっちゃんがもってあげているな、とか
にっくんがドングリのお帽子、つぎは栗のお帽子をかぶってみて
相変わらずいい味を出しているなあ、

とか、くんちゃんはお月見台の横にブランコを作ってもらって
ご機嫌（しかし、一番こわい気もするけど、、）とか、
いつも通り細かいところもいろいろ楽しめます。

そして、お月様がでたところは圧巻！
月見の絵本ナンバー１といいたくなります。（その前の夕日のシーンもすばらしいですが）
お月様に手を合わせるシーンでは小さい方のこどもたちは

「何でお月様に手を合わせるの？」という顔をしているのが
おかしい。大きい子はちゃんとやってますね。
最後は寝て終わり、なので、「こもりうた」とならんで
うちでは寝るときのお気に入りになっています。

お月さまの色が神秘的で心が洗われる美しさです。私は会社の帰り道、ふと見上げた月が満月で余りの美しさにふと足を止めて見入ってしまった事を思い出しました。この絵本は月だけでなく葉っぱの色、夕焼けの色、月が出る前のちょっと暗い空の色など微妙な色がとても美しく表現されていて、目だけでなく心もほっとさせてくれます。ネズミ達が兄弟力を合わせてお月見台を作り、大家族でお月見をするというシンプルなお話ですが、表紙の兄弟の名前を言いながら数えたり、お月見にお団子やススキをお供えするという事も子供（２歳）には楽しいらしく親子で楽しめる絵本だと思います。

１４ひきのネズミ達のお月見の物語です。こどもって木登りが好きですよね。私も大好きでした。松の木に登って、松脂が手について取れなくて困りました。木の上に隠れ家をつくって、「木の家」をつくり近所の男の子達と、秘密の隠れ家にしました。まるで、アメリカ映画「スタンド・バイ・ミー」のようでした。この１４匹のネズミも木の家をつくり、来るべき「中秋の名月」に備えます。美しい月夜。秋の夜に相応しいあなたと一番愛する人とのロマンチックな夜の物語です。
