幼稚園での進級や卒園前に読まれることが多い本。
特に幼稚園の先生からは圧倒的に支持される本だと思います。
（僕も好きなので買ってきたのだけど…）
でも、ちょっと説教くさいかな。
大きくなるっていうことはどういうことなのかを、
分かりやすい例を挙げて教えてくれます。
大人の方が、「そうそう。そう言いたかったんだよ」と
思ってしまうのだけれど、
本当に大切なのは、大人の期待に応えようとしてしまう
子供たちが、この本から素直に何を感じ取るかということでは
ないでしょうか。
子供に、この本と出会わせてあげることは大切と思うので、
やっぱり星５つ。

子供の頃、出来るとちょっと大人になった気がしたいろいろなことが“おおきくなるっていうことは・・・・”という繰り返しのことばで語られます。この繰り返しが耳に心地よく、もうすぐ３歳になるうちの子もこのフレーズが大好き。

お風呂に入ったときには“シャンプーだって　いやがらないこと”、下の子とおもちゃの取り合いになった時は“ちいさなひとに　やさしくなれるってこと”と自分でいいながら我慢することを覚えようとしています。ただ、このシリーズ(中川ひろたか＆村上康成）の他の本に比べると、ちょっと遊びの要素が足りない気がするので星４つ☆☆☆☆です。

おおきくなる・・・・ 漠然としすぎていて、子どもにわかりにくいですよね｡ これを読んでやると、｢あ、こういうことなんだ｣って、みんな納得｡ 子ども達と身体計測のたびに、この本の話が出ます｡
