世界的な企業となり、力強い成長を続けている今も、なかなかサムスンを研究した書籍がなかったことを考えると、参考にはなった。

但し、他企業の同類の本と比較するといまだ物足りなさがあるのも事実。

また、タイトルが「サムスン電子」とあるのに、サムスンの中の電子系グループ会社にも話が及んでおり、その点をもう少し明確にしてほしかった。

Samsung Electronicsの組織や強みに関しては良くわかりました。
ただ、韓国の新聞社出版なので仕方がないのかもしれませんが、
サムスン電子の弱み、課題等も知りたいと思いました。

日本ではあまりサムスン製品を見かけませんが，アメリカのホテルにはサムスン製のテレビが置いてあったりしますので，欧米ではブランド力をかなり伸ばしているようです．

そのサムスンの強さの秘密は，半導体・液晶・携帯電話といった事業ポートフォリオの良さ，カリスマ経営者のリーダシップ，ブランド戦略，信賞必罰の評価システム，構造調整本部と呼ばれるリストラ部隊の存在などがあげられますが，本書を読んでのサムスンのイメージは，冷徹な織田信長のような印象を受けます．織田信長の大胆な決断と行動力は戦国の武将としては好きですが，これが現代社会に存在し，ましてや自分のボスになるなどという事は想像もできません．サムスン社員の忠誠心は非常に高いそうですが，これも軍隊並みの新人教育によって培われているようです．

とは言え，我社も十数年前は，軍隊並みとは言わないまでも，朝のランニングから始まるそれなりに厳しい新入社員研修が２ヶ月ほどありましたが，今は一週間くらい偉いさんのお話を聞いて現場にやってきます．ひょっとするとここらあたりが最近の日本企業に元気がない理由かもしれません．

サムスンは製造業としては世界一流になったが，プレイステーションのような新しいジャンルを創造する力はあまりないと言われますが，これも日本企業がたどって来た道でしょう．

本書は，今の日本企業の在り様を反省し，今後を考えるための良書だと思います．
